THE UB-28 CREATURE

April 30th 1918 towards the end of world war one a british patrol boat coreopsis came across a german submarine the ub-85 on the seas surface. The sub was doing nothing and the german troops had begun evacuating the boat and actually swim towards the british navy. The captain of the u-boat was Gunther Krech who said they needed to surface during their patrol. Krech stated whilst on the surface suddenly on the starboard a giant surge erupted and moved towards them and a strange creature like a giant crocodile climbed onto the hull. The creature Krech went on to describe as being between 35 and 40 feet long with a small horned skull large eyes and rows or razor sharp teeth and was so large that the sub tilted to the side in such a degree the sub could of been flooded and sunk and that part of the foredeck plating was so damaged the sub could not submerge, Kerch went on to say several of his men had been killed and eaten by the creature I am more than skeptical on this story although searches in both german ansd british naval records it is said does report this incident and my own research found a captain Gunther Krech was indeed upon the ill fated ub-85 there is also a record of a second german sub the ub-28 encountering a similar creature and a few minor mentions of british and other nations seeing similar creatures. The creature is said to resembled a giant crocodile like in many good and not so good modern horror This tale made me think a fair bit and i looked up the creature many times and i have a theory, could the ub-85 creature be a reminant of the dinosaurs. Yes i can already hear what you are saying and yes many say about nessie being a dinosaur that i dont believe by the way, but the ub-85 creature and sightings by other naval forces are very close and also to me they sound very much like the Pliosaurus. Lets look at it the ub-28 creature was said to be crocodile like bt of a size that no one had before seen, the ub-85 creature depicts a crocodile type creature with a horn on its skull and other forces have mentioned similar all descriptions are very close most state the creature was between 30 and 50ft in length the pliosaurus was around 45ft long. Lets take a think her the megamouth shark the shear size and beautiful fish is a fairly recent discovery before that it was a creature of legend along with the frilled shark thought extinct 100 million years is now a fairly common catch. The distance out to sea also makes me wonder if this could be a pliosaurus, yes we do get large crocs in parts of the world, yes some are salt water and do swim between islands but i can't recall any nature documentries stating salt water crocodiles swimming open oceans and the sizes would not calculate correctly, i have researched further but found little if no further reports of any similar creatures, does this mean it was just a tale by Kerch after surrendering to try save face? possibly but remember other u-boats other boats and other nations claim similar sightings and it is scientific fact that not all that dwell with in the sea have been recorded.
